My Story:

I have always known about Longaberger and that they made baskets. That's all I knew. I had never owned a Longaberger basket or been to a Longaberger Home Gathering. I was invited to go on a bus tour to The Longaberger Homestead in Ohio and thought it would be a nice trip for my mother and I. So off we went to Longaberger Land. It was a great trip. I got to spend time with my Mom, shop, eat, and I even won a basket on the trip. My first Longaberger basket.

Each of us also received a basket for making the trip. My second Longaberger Basket. I found a spot for the baskets in my home, and that was it. My next bus trip to Longaberger was an entirely different experience. The trip sponsor called me the day before and asked if I'd ever thought about selling Longaberger as they were having a fantastic start up special. MMmmmmm... (by now I realized how truly wonderful the baskets were) I'd been in direct sales my entire life it seemed. Gourmet coffee, jewelry, candles, cosmetics.... why not Longaberger? So began the journey. That was in March of 2010.

Here we are in the fall of 2010 and I know I made the correct decision. I've always said "I don't do home parties" yet here I am getting ready to hold a string of fall gatherings. I've met great people, both customers and fellow team members. I know that I sell the most wonderful handmade (in America, no less) baskets along with other products. We have handmade pottery (yes, made in America), wrought iron products, food specialty items, and fabric accessories including purses, totes, and more.

I've had great success with Longaberger up to this point and can only anticipate it getting better with the holiday season fast approaching.
