Lil Soap Nuts!!

I absolutely love being involved with Chartreuse.  I use almost all of the products on a daily basis, and the fact that they are great for the health of my family and myself are just a bonus!
One of my favorite products is actually the one product I was most reluctant to try.  That product is the one and only soap nut!  These little gems pack a powerful laundry punch!  With the cost that we pay for standard laundry detergents and fabric softeners , they also proved to be the most economical choice.  These nuts are actually dried berries that grow on soaopberry trees in Nepal, and have been used for centuries by locals as their primary washing soap.  The release a natural detergent called Saponin, which will leave your laundry smelling clean and fresh.
My first use... I placed my four little soap nuts  in their little pouch, put away the laundry detergent and fabric softener and took a leap of faith.  Those little critters washed 8 loads of laundry before they gave up the fight!  One box will do, on average, 80 loads of laundry  and only costs $14.95.  You have to remember that these replace both detergent and fabric softener, which we figured our savings to be $10-$15.  I have some additional tips to making your laundry smell yummy, and you won't even miss your fabric softener... so if you are daring... ask me about my nuts... you will be glad you did!
